Installation of "In That Case: Havruta in Contemporary Art"

Installation of In That Case with Lindsey White and Ron Lynch
is under way.

In That CaseHavruta in Contemporary Art brings individual Bay Area artists together with a scholar, scientist, writer, or other thinker of his or her choice for a ten-week fellowship in creativity. The resulting collaborations will be presented in The Museum’s Sala Webb Education Center.

San Francisco-based artist Lindsey White is creating a type of sight-gag index, through video, photography, and sculpture, and working with the language of magic and comedy to present the unexpected and impossible in everyday life.

Ron Lynch is an American stand-up comedian, actor, and writer. He has appeared in a number of movies and television shows and has worked as a voice actor for several animated shows.

Together White and Lynch will engage in a larger conversation about how to activate a joke and about the physical nature of being a performer.

Opens at The Contemporary Jewish Museum on October 23, 2014.
